We are very pleased to announce that on 29th July 2010 the Solid Kids, Solid Schools project (and website) was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award for the Injury Control Council’s (ICCWA) annual Community Safety Awards. This award is an acknowledgment of the ways Yamaji people are working together to make things better for their kids and rightfully belongs to the Yamaji community. The Child Health Promotion Research team wishes to thank those who worked along side us for four years to develop a sustainable program to help to reduce bullying, and other aggression and violence among Aboriginal young people in the Mid West, Murchison region of WA.
