Staff can be solid role models for students by demonstrating agreed ways to enhance their relationships with other staff members. Strategies for modelling solid behaviours to students can include:
- communicating among adults and students in the school community
- training and supporting all staff to model social skills and problem solving skills
- establishing a guideline of ‘no put-downs’
- making an agreement on how staff are to treat each other
This creates a solid environment in the school. Students and their families are more likely to display and experience solid relationships and attitudes.
